The National 3 Peaks Challenge

August - 2012

I am delighted to inform you that between 5 and 6 July 2012, together with my team of “walking wounded” buddies, I was able to complete the the 3 Peaks challenge within 24 hours.

These are the highest mountain peaks of England (Scaffel Pike), Wales (Snowdonia) and Scotland (Ben Nevis) respectively.

Whilst the challenge started as a mid life crisis attempting to improve our levels of fitness, we also appreciated the far greater challenges faced by many around the world for basic needs such as health and education.

Many of us originate from East Africa, and our challenge was dedicated to support PEAS, a very worthwhile educational charity operating in Africa, providing affordable and quality education – www.peas.org.uk

Your generous support will help to provide education and improve the quality of life for a child in Africa.

£88 will help to support a child through his or her entire secondary school career.

Thank you for your support. To donate please visit our Just Giving site at http://www.justgiving.com/Rohini-Uppal3.
