Dr Mayank Shah is the Clinical and Managing Director of Lotus Healthcare.

He graduated from The Royal London Hospital Medical College (now part of Queen Mary, University of London), and commenced his career in general practice in 1989. He is currently the senior partner in a NHS general practice.

He has a special interest in preventive medicine, screening, musculoskeletal conditions, management of cardiovascular disease and diabetes. He has considerable experience in minor surgical procedures and is a trained medical acupuncturist. He has also been trained in medical aesthetics.

Amongst other medical societies, he is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society and the British Medical Association.

Dr Shah is a recognised independent expert witness, specialising in whiplash and soft tissue injuries. He is instructed by solicitors throughout the UK and is a member of  The Society of Expert Witnesses.

He has served on several committees relating to the development and delivery of  patient care. He has served as the chair of the Redbridge & Waltam Forest LMC and is currently chair of Forest Prime Health.

He is actively involved in the development of innovative clinical care, both in his professionally life as well as an adviser to several health charities. He has served as a trustee of Diabetes UK and is currently a trustee of the Diabetes Foundation.

Valerie Saunders
Practice Manager

Val is responsible for all aspects of the patient services and business development. She has been with Lotus Healthcare for the past 10 years and has considerable experience in the administration of patient care.
 

Geraldine
Medical Secretary and Health Care Assistant

Geraldine joined Lotus Healthcare in May 2010 as a Medical Secretary and Health Care Assistant. She is involved in the administration of all appointments and the preparation of reports. She assists with the various health screens undertaken at Lotus Healthcare. She brings considerable experience, having previously worked for over 30 years at leading London legal firms.
 

Sara Salim

Sara has been involved with Lotus Healthcare for the past 10 years, working in different capacities. She is responsible for all aspects of patient records, especially the review of clinical records  for the medico-legal cases.

Akcelina is a fully qualified and highly experienced Nutritional Therapist and is a full member of the British Association of Nutritional Therapists.  Her main nutritional training has been with the College of Natural Nutrition in London.  She is also a  Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and a Hypnotic Practitioner.   She is registered with the Society of NLP.  She was privileged to have been trained by the best teachers; Dr Richard Bandler, the creator of NLP, Paul McKenna, a leading British hypnotist, Michael Neill, a top Hollywood success coach and John La Valle, the highest paid American corporate coach.  She regularly assists on Paul McKenna’s Seminars.

Her main areas of nutritional specialisation include: weight loss, anti-ageing, skin disorders, energy level boosting digestive disorders, cardiovascular problems including high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels, asthma and hay fever.
